Care Connection for Aging Services offers ‘Dementia Friend’ internet workshop

Care Connection for Aging Services invites the public to become Dementia Friends by attending an online workshop.  The Dementia Friends workshop is part of an international effort to make a difference for people with memory loss. The online session is set for 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, on Zoom. Learn to recognize dementia and hear tips on how to engage with people who have dementia. Dementia Friends is a global movement to change the way people think, act, and talk about
dementia and benefits all community members.

The Dementia Friends movement began in the United Kingdom and is progressing across the United States. Care Connection for Aging Services is an area agency for aging serving people 60 and older in 13 West Central Missouri counties: Bates, Benton, Carroll, Cedar, Chariton, Henry, Hickory, Johnson, Lafayette, Pettis, Saline, St. Clair, and Vernon.
