Pettis County First ‘No Mega Landfill in Pettis County’ informational meeting

Pettis County First will host a No Mega Landfill in Pettis County informational meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 4, in the Our Savior Lutheran Church Auditorium. Topics will include the permit application for a new 95-acre site in rural Pettis County, concerns with the current landfill and the proposal for a new sanitary landfill and efforts to convince the Pettis County Commissioners why a solid waste ordinance is needed and should be adopted. Attendees will hear from Pettis County First members, as well as their legal counsel. The Pettis County Commissioners, Prosecuting Attorney and media have also been invited.
