Then we’ll head down to Honker Pond to try our luck catching some hungry trout. \nDress for the weather but if you get cold while you are fishing you can take a break to warm up by the fire and enjoy some hot chocolate \nOnly children can fish at Honker Pond but parents and family are welcome to attend and learn along with the kids. \nMissouri Department of Conservation will provide all of the equipment\, bait\, fishing coaches\, hot chocolate and a warm fire. \nChildren do not need a trout permit to fish at this event as long as they plan to release their fish\, if they would like to keep the trout that they catch they will need a trout permit. SUMMARY:Home Food Preservation Canning Boot Camp - Linn
DESCRIPTION:Whether you are new to home food preservation\, or you just need a refresher on something you’ve been doing for years\, this home food preservation canning “boot camp” workshop can help you preserve food safely and efficiently. \nThree methods of home food preservation will be included: pressure canning (vegetables/low acid foods)\, water bath canning (salsas) and steam canning (sweet spreads). \nThis is a hands-on workshop\, so you’ll be able to practice what you learn! SUMMARY:Virtual - Learning to Shoot: Air Guns - Beginner
DESCRIPTION:Are your children interested in shooting\, but you need help getting started? Air rifle is one of the safest ways to start the youth off in shooting safely. We will cover the basic safety of a firearm\, fundamentals of shooting and other youth programs available. This will be a fun and safe way for children and their parents to learn and enjoy shooting together. There should be no live ammunition\, or uncased firearms inside the classroom. Please leave all firearms in the vehicle until the class is dismissed to go to shoot. This includes concealed carry handguns and magazines.
